Im totally digging the amount of Texture that is becoming more common in design. Its not simply texture being applied to the surface… the surface or form is the texture. I was introduced to this concept by the architectural artist, Anna Valentina Murch. She pursued the idea and vision called “Water Scores” since 1996 when she was selected as one of the contributing artist for the ‘Carnival Center for the Performing Arts’, Miami Florida. She proposed a Water fountain with a texture relief reminiscent of desert sand dunes. It is a approximately 240’ x 8’ (73m x 2.5m) of surfacing that controls the Sound and Water Flow.
